Daisymay; I hurt my leg a couple of years ago and was pretty housebound for several months; that's when I discovered the internet and realised I could still 'meet' people. Thankfully, I'm ok now, but it was a real eye opener for me, as I had been someone who totally poo pooed computers. It's wonderful to be able to, for example, watch a film and then discuss it with people from all over the world. I find that emails are brilliant because, if you phone someone you're taking up their time; letters are too slow to arrive, but to be able to compose what to say and read/reply at leisure is fantastic. It's like a time machine as well, because I've got in touch with people from my childhood, but I agree that time flies by when one is online. I love the fact that I can rabbit on but anyone can just ignore me! [attempts smiley face...
