Dick Francis

I love the Dick Francis novels as well, they are as you say Sara, full of all sorts of information, and the amount of background investigation which goes into them must be tremendous. There seems to be a lack of them at our local library, and I would assume that that is because they are so popular, and perhaps some are not even being re-printed. Felix does a good job, and good luck to him.

I thought Felix Francis took a while to get the pace his father had but all seems well now. Sara4 it sounds as if looking into all the different life styles appeal to you as well.

had read and re-read Dick Francis books and was sad when there were no more being written - they were always a good read and well researched.
then I discovered Felix Francis books are of the same ilk and enjoy the three I have read.

I'm bonkers about racing but haven't read the Dick Francis books because I find the actual intrigues of racing folk to be like an ongoing soap opera anyway ]!

Me too Gracesgran, I think I have read and read most of them. I like the fact that, not only do they contain information about the horse racing world but also topics like merchant banking, the world of photographers, outdoor survival internet information about the gambling, the brewing industry and so many more.
