That’s such a beautiful dress. She should wear it with pride. It’s not a wedding dress and is not white so won’t detract from the bride. She looks lovely in the dress. She should ignore the ‘friend’ - she’s probably miffed that she doesn’t look as lovely!

That is a perfect guest dress for a summer wedding on a hot day. No way is it too white. And the length is perfect. She must not wear something else. A darker colour clutch bag in one of the dress colours if she has one.

That’s what I was thinking.
It’s a lovely dress and she should take no notice of what anyone says.

I wore an ivory short dress and jacket for DDs wedding. She was quite cross with me as though I was trying to compete with her.

It made me so upset I gave the outfit to charity asap.

So what I'm saying is: if your DGD is worried and some friends think it's too pale. She should wear something else? Sorry to be the only one to add a note of caution.

There is no way that the pretty dress is going to compete with a white wedding dress. It is perfect for a summer wedding guest. She could always pick out one of the colours for a clutch bag and/or shoes.

My Dgd is in a tizz, as her and friends shared their outfits for their friends’ Wedding this weekend and one commented that my Gd’s was “too white”…
It’s pale lemon (actually much brighter than the pic) with flowers and foliage.
I’ve told Dgd it’s perfect for a summer wedding but I want to know what you think…..
