I’ve never found slapstick funny. It’s OK in pantomime as an art form but other than that it leaves me cold.

You and me both. Never tickled my funny bone!

I liked Tiswas - wasn’t Chris Tarrant on that? Sally something and ofcourse Keith Chegwin, who sadly is no longer with us.
Slapstick has now been replaced by Satire. YouTube has a young woman called Philomena Punk - you will have a good laugh at her interviews with famous people.
As I’ve aged, I don’t find slapstick as entertaining.

A HA so it does still exist - I was starting to think it was no longer allowed or a thing in a woke society. Growing up, it was always funny

We still have cream pies in our local pantomime, but it is an amateur performamce, huge fun, no smutty inuendos!

But the pie and gunge no longer exists?

It can still be found in pantomime.

We are avid Panto fans as are our AC and GC

Can anyone help - do you recall the tv shows such as Tiswas or Noels HouseParty where a pie in the face or a seat in the gunge tank caused a chuckle on a Saturday night? Has the humor in everything these days gone?
