I bought my son a Kindle for his 40th - handy for the train as he commutes to London frequently. My DD will be 40 next year; I am thinking of getting her a voucher for our local excellent independent jewellers, so she can pick something to her taste.
A trip to the top of the Shard is a good 40th pressie. I think it's £50 per ticket, so he could take his wife/partner or a friend if he's single and then they could spend the rest on a lovely meal there too.
I used to buy (before Covid) my SiL vouchers for a wonderful gastro pub/hotel just outside Ambleside in the Lake District - always appreciated. He’s quite difficult to buy for.
I am also looking at an experience for my AC, there's one at a place in Sheffield area, four different activities all in one and less than £50! There's a zip line, a parachute drop, sky dive and something else......can't remember but its right up my AC street. I will try to find the link and post it.
Hotel or restaurant vouchers? Then he & his partner can choose when & where! I bought aHotel du Vin one for my DD & offered to be on child duty when they were away!
Weekend away somewhere trekking in hills? Lake District, Highlands or somewhere else. Don't know where you live though so might be too far. Or overnight stay somewhere with country walks and a nice meal?
Louisa1523, Up to about £200 maybe. He is also graduating and has worked so hard and long to get to this stage. Unfortunately I live on a state pension, so there's not a lot to spare.
I'm looking for ideas - he has everything he needs. Can't seem to find anything unusual can anyone suggest anything? I've looked at experiences, but am not seeing anything that jumps out at me. He is an outdoor person, has a partner, dog and enjoys many sports and travel.
