Is it tacky to send "relation" cards?

If you like them and the recipients like them, how can they be tacky. Criticising other people’s taste-now that’s tacky!

I do have to check the verse inside to make sure it’s appropriate, but that’s half the fun of choosing.
I like Moonpig where I can personalise cards too.

I don't like them but my DH's side of the family love them.

For me it's not if they're tacky or not, it's that they're not my words, so they feel a bit lazy. I much prefer the cards I have from my husband where he wrote his own message, to the ones I've received which have a wall of generic verse on the front.

Did they mean the Moonpipg type cards that you can personalise with name?

But as others have said it really doesn't matter what anyone thinks. You buy whatever you like!

I must be tacky too, I always do ‘relations’ cards for Christmas and birthdays ??‍♀️

I cherish the cards I have from my daughter which say "Mum" on them.
I'm never going to be called that again.
So, eff what others think and send a big, glorious card celebrating your relatives.

some people just sound snobbish; big themselves up by looking down on others.

Do you honestly care what a random stranger on the internet thinks about your choice of greeting cards? They don't know you. Or the recipient of the card. So their opinions really don't matter do they?

One persons tacky is another persons joy. Do what pleases you and your loved ones.

I always receive Mum cards. I always send grandson/daughter cards. I often send daughter cards.

Then I must be tacky.

A lot depends on the wording inside. It has to suit the nature of the relationship. Some can be too cheesy or florid for my taste. However I still cherish the big badge saying "World's best Mum" which was pinned on one I received.

If it gives you and the recipient pleasure Unigran then it's not tacky. People do like to set themselves up as the arbiters of good taste.

I always send these. I think it shows a little more care and thought.

Why are they they tacky? I really don't understand. I think that it shows an effort, I will always look for 'relation' cards for my sons, my daughters in law, grandchildren and for my brother and sister.

Who cares if others think it is tacky?
If the words move you to send it, then it is the exact right card for the occasion.
