Cotton knitwear

I have lots of cotton knitwear as I dont like manmade fibres.After many washes some of my jumpers have lost their softness. Does anyone know how to re soften this type of knitwear? I use fabric conditioner and never wash at high temperatures. Any advice welcome.

Could try putting them in a tumble dryer with a tennis ball if you have a dryer. Never tried it but apparently it softens towels.

tanith I use special balls with little spikes all over in the dryer to soften my towels and they work like a dream
