I've been getting these spots for about 5wks. I'm a 52/F, don't dye hair, no new tattoos, not a big veggie/citrus fan, don't work with chemicals or flowers. My dr is clueless and says I must have rubbed against something. Today, waking up to the darkest spot to date, I wondered if it has anything to do with drinking iced tea from a yeti cup. Maybe the tannins in the tea are interacting with the cup and my body is expelling? Previously I was drinking it from a tervis cup. Anyone else on here drink tea daily?
Also, the easiest way to clear them has been with using a pumice stone. Tonight, I'll be scrubbing them off and wearing gloves to bed! I'm kinda over it, especially after the past 2yrs we've all gone through. Good luck everyone and please continue to share. Maybe we'll figure it out soon. ?✌
Just noticed I’m part of the orange stain group a few hours ago on both my thumbs only. They’re fairly light but still very obvious. I’m a rock/mineral collector so I jumped to the conclusion of a possible metal absorption via handling the stones..but it’s where no rocks would’ve touched and it looks like little splatters. I noticed it after consuming a new pizza sauce so I thought it was indeed stains. They’re not bothersome, have no smell or raised surface..just different colored. I’m a hypochondriac so I’m panicked about it possibly being something ominous 
. I didn’t get vaccinated yet so it’s not associated with any new chemicals being introduced into my body. I’ll give it a week to fade away I guess 
. Hate this scared feeling!
Ive read this entire thread, all 7 pages and we are both in our 30's. So my fiancé has had this appear for the third time now in about 4 months. We cannot figure out what causes this, when she came home from work her hands where clean, she took a nap on the couch only to wake up to stained hands. I have stripped all of the cushions off the couch, triple checked the blanket, the dog leash, and every item she has came into contact with. We came up empty handed with what it could be. Ive read alot on this sub about how it could be hypothyroidism, she does have goiters on her neck, but we do not believe this is what's causing it. They are not flaring up or needing to be drained. Ive read alot about people saying that it could be from eating peppers or certain foods. We have ruled that out as well. She does though work in a produce department at a local grocery store. Ive asked about all the vegetables she came into contact with last night on her shift and nothing she came into contact with could have stained her hands. I saw them when she got home at 7am this morning with clean hands, by 1pm look stained. Its mindblowing that even though this is a common problem across the world, we cant even really single anything out.
I signed up also so I could comment. Not sure if y'all ever figured this out but my son..age 25...a Team Leader at Target here in Alabama came from work yesterday with orange hands. Just hands. He just sent me a pic of them today and they are a bit worse. No pain or swelling etc...he has not touched anything out of the ordinary. After ready ALL the comments I am leaning towards 2 things....either a fungus....I have an anti-fungal cream I am gonna use on him tonight OR it is dietary..He is always on the go so eats out everyday and eats Pizza at least 2 or 3 times a week....he has horrible diet. Lol ..oh and he puts Ketchup on EVERYTHING...I home I am tech savvy enough to include pics ....but I am telling him to watch any tomato based products and will still use cream on him..will report back on my findings..thank you all for sharing YOUR experiences...if you have new info ...please advise...if not..I WILL report back !!!!!!!! Well, add another to the list of this oddity. I woke today with the same blotchy stains on my hands and fingers and totally puzzled as to what these came from. I've read all the comments here and I can say I have not eaten what others have here. It's been three days since I've eaten any salad or veggies or fruit for that matter. I have eaten lots of pasta and candy the last two days!

Not only was it on my feet today but also on my chest and knee, it seems to be as if I've dropped something on myself, but I was asleep. My girlfriend also had it happen to her the other day and we thought it may be a period related cause, but can now rule that out. This is so bizarre and I'm very interested to help us all solve it. My diet hasn't changed, no bell peppers, no citrus fruits, no flowers, 26/M/NSW, Australia, and also have the second Pfizer vax, however why would it seem like it's dripped on me if vax was the case, it's also sticky like it's fresh and I've only woken up an hour ago.
Yet another who has signed up for this interesting and perplexing issue, this is probably the 5th or 6th time I've gotten it, can confirm I was clean and darkness free before sleeping, and when I woke up this morning it was everywhere on my feet. I've had it in both feet and hands before and have yet to come to a conclusion. (Post 1/2 due to photos)
Hi all, I woke up also to a stain, correct me if I’m wrong but I think I’m the only one who hasn’t got it in hands or fingers ….. yet!! It’s on the inside of my left wrist and started quite small, it happened about two weeks ago and is growing in size. From reading everybody’s suggestions I’m still at a loss to fathom what it is.
So it's 5 am in Seattle and I just woke up with the same thing everyone else is experiencing. At and handled Satsumas, the one's you buy at the store with the leaves still on, for the first time last night.
It's on both hands, won't rub off. I've been taking a lot of multivitamins lately and eating a lot of fruit and veggies over the last few weeks. Intuitively feels like it's related to the Satsumas, but will see what happens.
I've had a lot of anxiety and not sleeping well, so could be the condition Carotenosis I guess?
Hi all. I woke up yesterday morning with a similar condition to all of you and of course created an account so I could comment. Thank you for sharing your stories. This is very strange and so mysterious. First, I am a 50 something menopausal woman. I have a doctor’s appointment this afternoon and looking over this thread will suggest a few conditions that some of you have listed. In terms of food, I have not eaten red pepper in over a week and maybe have had four or five mini raw carrots in the last week. Don’t think it’s food related. Two questions: 1. Did any of you have this before you had the vaccine and if not, how many of you had the Pfizer vaccine? 2. Did any of you consume Cherry flavoured NyQuil the night before you woke up with this condition? Wondering if there is a link to one of these two elements. Thanks for your help. Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this.
