Oh Joe Lynette was awful cringy Why oh why donāt they read reviews like these we are giving I do think it was much better when it started and the same goes for the pottery one which is now so predicable I could write it for them Cue to say how wonderful said item is, cue to say best heās ever seen, cue to cry š Letās hope they have some good sewers on there and not just people who drape someone in a towel sewn to a camping tent
I loved it at the beginning when you had some really skilled contestants. However, every year we have to have at least two obligatory gay people who canāt sew and to be honest most of the rest donāt have much skill or talent either. The making of clothes out of rubbish is pointless. Are we looking for wacky arty designers or good sewers? I totally agree that the comedians are irritating as hell. Why canāt we just showcase skilled people?
MickyD I wish they hadn't turned it into a cringeworthy comedy show. Patrick Grant comes over so embarrassingly wooden when delivering his lines. I suppose the sewing community is a small audience so they have to try to appeal to a wider viewer base. I'll still watch it but from behind a cushion!
I donāt think I can bear to watch Sara Pascoe. She was actually quite nasty to the contestants, sneering and belittling, the n order to get her āfunnyā persona to the fore.
I thought Kiel was genuinely interested in them and their creations.
BBC seem to latch into people, and give them slots whether theyre any good or not.
It definitely is Sara Pascoe for 2025 but the Radio Times is still showing a picture of Kiell, with the two judges, that was posted on 2 July 2025 as introduction to Sewing Bee 2025.
Itās back on my birthday š I love it despite finding Esme saying she doesnāt care about the sewing, just the originality (AKA unwearable silliness).
Itās not the co-presenters that annoy me, itās the awful āfunnyā lines that theyāve been given. Theyāre so corny and unfunny but I absolutely love the programme.
Love the needle and thread symbols. Looking forward to the programme. I especially like the little diagrams showing how the garments in the pattern challenge should be assembled.
Yippee! There is little on TV that I enjoy at the moment. I too dislike Sarah as presenter, but I shall still watch. I know many will disagree, but I liked Claudia the best.
