It’s a bit of a first world problem this, but does anyone else feel torn between going back to the same, familiar, well-loved places on holiday or trying somewhere new each time? We have about 2 holidays a year, maybe one of them abroad and one in this country. We’re retired and don’t have pots of money, but do like to travel on package holidays to Europe mostly (for our abroad holiday). We’re now finding it difficult to decide whether to try a new place or somewhere we really loved, as that’s the safe, comfortable option which we know we’ll enjoy. Obviously we all have a finite time on this earth and we’ll never see all of it, not even a tiny bit of it. I’m finding I can’t quite understand why people go back several times to the same place when there is so much world to discover. Then again, there is a certain satisfaction in doing that. Decisions, decisions!
