Help finding song lyrics/ recording

I think it could be 'Rise and Shine' (and say good morning)
sung by Dorothy Ward. Unfortunately, I was unable to track down a recording.

It isn't exactly the same song, but it is very similar. My parents' generation seemed to sing a lot of songs from American radio programmes (mine picked them up at local USAF bases). They all had a slightly folky feel about them, as if they had been adapted, in the way of folk music, from older songs, and often the lyrics changed about by whoever was singing them.

Now all those songs my mum sang about the house (when the radio was for sitting and listening to, not background) are echoing around in my head!

Nannarose- this is very similar though the tune isn't. I feel my dad was capable of changing the lyrics to suit himself so maybe I'm on a wild goose chase!

He sang lots of songs I now can't find like 'When circus came to town,' A song about, 'Gwendoline always dancing on the village green' as well as one I have found called 'Scarlet Ribbons.'

My M-in-Law used to sing Scarlet Ribbons to my DDs in the ‘80’s.

She was an odd person (!) and used to make them cry, singing ‘He’s the little boy that Santa Claus forgot’.

I loved scarlet Ribbons when I was little. People use to sing all the time, we always sang on the coach on the way home from primary school swimming lessons,

Yes, Harry Belafonte’s version is beautiful, he was a favourite of my parents.

Many years ago, my sisters and I took our Mum to see The Fureys in concert, they sang Scarlet Ribbons, and although she had dementia, she sang along with every word.

My dad's version of Scarlet Ribbons was my favourite! He was such a lovely dad and I feel so lucky that I knew him. I didn't know how much I missed him until I remembered some of these songs.

Yes, 'Morning has broken' is a real classic and the Cat Stevens version is so good.

When I was on teaching practice in Sheffield in the early 70s, that was the end of day " going home hymn", sung in every classroom, in one particular school.
In another school it was " At half past three we go home for tea, Or maybe at quarter past four"

I've gone down an Infant/Junior school rabbit hole here - does anyone remember " Autumn days when the grass is jewelled, And the silk inside a chestnut shell"?
