As I said uptrend, if you commit a crime, then it is incumbent on you to accept the consequences.
I understand from the judges ruling that this young woman has an outstanding suspended sentence, so, clearly, incarceration was inevitable at the next breach of the law.
As she is a self - proclaimed intelligent person, surely she understood this?
The rights , or otherwise, of her cause, should not affect how we treat lawbreaking.
If we disagree, maybe we lobby against the law, but we should not expect the judicial sentencing guidelines to be affected by age/ intellect/ imminent social engagements .
