Yes suziewoozie I do think it’s ok to comment on it.I have no need to actually see it as I take on board the many comments that the BBC have mixed up footage and showed some of Boris and JC at the cenotaph from another year.
The BBC have not denied it, have they?

As this is not working in Boris's favour, it could be argued that it was Milne, not Cummings as suggested above, who ordered the old footage to be shown.

It's not good enough just for them to be tweeting about it. Not everyone does twitter. If a newspaper gets things wrong they have to insert a small paragraph somewhere. The Beeb should have to say something. But they won't. Expect it's well and truly under the carpet now.

You do like your straw men arguments. If you read the OP nothing was said about bias. It is about honesty, whoever it affects. Perhaps those trying to derail the thread from that point are not too bothered about plain, common or garden honesty.

It may be your point but you don't seem to present any evidence, just gay abandon when it welcomes to the truth. That's not how I see things. I think there should be an enquiry into how and why it happened.

I think there’s a difference between a general discussion on the partiality or otherwise of the BBC and this specific example which is not a good look and has not been handled well at all imo. But maybe I’ve forgotten the last time the BBC made an editing mistake that worked in JC’s favour

This subject crops up from time to time on GN.....usually accusing the Beeb of right wing bias, but sometimes t’other way round.I think they usually get it about right, and people just view it through the prism of their own party politics.

Rob Burley ( some BBC News Editor) has explained in great detail on Twitter this ‘mistake’. Apparently they were all tired/ young/inexperienced/overworked ( delete as appropriate) , That’s all you can expect isn’t it? I would guess they’ll be a bit more careful for the next week or two. What they should have done of course was to put the explanation out and an apology at the same times the next day as the misleading footage was aired accompanied by the correct footage. But that would never happen.

The BBC have never been impartial or unbiased. I no longer watch any news programmes. I go online or watch Euronews sometimes.

Well, they had that programme about the investiture of the Prince of Wales.

You're all wrong - the only bias in the BBC is its bias in favour of England and all things English. It's like the rest of us don't exist.
