I have respect for the Queen and Princess Anne, shame the hereditary law wasn't changed earlier for her to inherit the throne. The rest of them are work shy scroungers who have no idea of real life. Charles and William are both petulant and more fond of their own comforts than work. And yes, how long is Kate's maternity leave? I strongly object to any public money being used for this wedding. Andrew is a disgrace and so full of his own importance and as for Fergie.....
The York girls just go from holiday to holiday. They can do what they like as long as I don't have to pay for it. By the way, didn't Peter Phillips work for Bank of Scotland, what happened to that association. Also Zara had a hefty some from Hello magazine a few years ago. I'm not a monarchist, I believe they have no place in a 20th century forward looking democracy. The French had the right idea.

But apart from the carriage ride there is no difference between the three weddings , receptions in royal palaces, security , queenie there. Zara and Peter did not have dumbed down weddings, hardly dumbed down in a church in the royal mile

But Jalima as has been pointed out, Anne’s kids manage to get married in a nice well-bred low-jey way. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a complete sucker for the RF but those two girls really do make me think of Cinderella’s sisters. Every time.

Carriage ride through Windsor? Does she imagine the streets are going to be lined with people waving union flags? Hope she gets a parking ticket.

She thinks she is the Granddaughter of HM the Queen.

Which is exactly what she is - and yes, there are a lot of people who care, although I do not claim to be one of them apart from wishing her and her husband-to-be well as I would any other young couple.

The girl has every right to marry in the chapel, Peter Phillips did. The carriage drive is press speculation. We are not paying for the wedding we are paying for security as we paid for security for the weddings of Zara and Peter. Only William had a wedding where head of states were invited so it was in the Abby.

If there is a carriage ride then they should pay and if it’s correct members of the public will be invited into the castle grounds they should also pay for this security

I am grateful to gransnetters as the news of yet another rf wedding had completely passed me by. I read a paper, weekly, well it’s quite big with lots of different magazines tucked up inside, takes a whole week to read, I watch tv and listen to the news daily so how can I have missed this.

I believe the bill would have been 3/4 of a million....the carriage ride has pushed the bill up a further 1 1/4 million....and it’s this part I don’t feel we should foot the bill for.....

No. Andy and Fergie have enough money to fund this charade.

I think there are enough of the RF doing what is required without any additional help from the two Princesses.
Andrew just wants them to be paid from the purse and have their security paid for.

Harry and Meghan's wedding was estimated to bring £80million in extra revenue to the economy (William and Catherine's was something near £2billion) and while Eugenie is not such a draw I think her nuptuals will cover the cost of a bit of police overtime.

Don't forget that accountants do 'funny sums' and will factor in the salaries of security people which would have been paid in any case. That is why a snowy day 'costs' the country £billions - when it does nothing of the sort.

I live very near Windsor and everyone around loves the pomp and glamour of a royal occasion. Crowds line the streets for the changing of the guard at the weekend and that is a customary and frequent event.

Zara had a large wedding in Edinburgh, there was security there too. Apart from the alleged carriage ride there is no difference between the two weddings.

The massive security costs are in part to organise/protect the public. That's fine, we pay for protection for us. Such an 'occasion' may attract other problems- again the public are being protected.
IMO if large numbers of public are gathering, there should be a security presence. However I don't think large numbers will turn out

It is a rarity to not find in ones council tax bill an increase in the funding of our countries security.I am all for seeing more police on the streets and any public place if that is where our money is going. How much then does it cost to provide the security for RF walk abouts.How much must it have cost to security fund Prince Harry's let the cebs and the chosen public into the grounds of Windsor C as well as the coach ride around the streets to show us his bride.I stand by what I previously commented on that those who want to put on a lavish display and yes they are but few and far between, and who but the Brits R F can bring it on, should then be a hundred percent financially responsible for the extra security support it takes.

As the wedding is in October there will probably only be a handful of people who are prepared to stand and watch the carriage procession, what is wrong with her very rich parents playing for the whole shbanng. Personally I am looking forward to seeing her dress could be a good laugh, I know that is bitchy but never mind.
