Lucygransnet- this happened to me recently and the organisation that sent the bulk email had to report itself to the Information Commissioner for breach of the DPA

Huge apologies folks - it was a one-off result of human error and will not happen again (the BCC facility is usually employed most meticulously!). We will be emailing recipients of the bulk email soon.

Have you replied to it to tell them this, Crow ? If everyone complained they might (just might) put in some thought and change the way they do things.

I am a bit upset that I have had an e-mail from the publishers of Adele Park's book with all our e-mail addresses open to everyone.
Why can't folk learn to BCC bulk mail.
Gransnet is so careful to keep identities safe. I know we have usernames but I am not with with this.
