Frank - I am not surprised if nobody turns up for a 5am run. I would not be there for one at 5pm either! That is definitely an easy fiver earned.

I can't think of much that I'd rather do than go for a run at 5am on a Saturday morning.

The thing that mystifies me frank is why you kept organising the same kind of thing if nobody turned up. Apart from the £5 of course

The events are there even though no other member turns up.
I have done the organising.

I organise things like theatre trips or trips to places like St Albans.
I go by myself if nobody says they want to go.
The event does go ahead even though there is only 1 member going.

On second thoughts you have the right idea. The events were there, if no-one turned up it was their own business.

Surely for something to be classed as an 'event' people actually have to attend it? After all the point of an event is to raise money. So if the event does not raise money, why should you be paid for it?

What kind of thing do you organise, Frank? Steak and chips for vegetarians? Tightrope walking lessons for paraplegics? Flower shows for hay fever sufferers?
