Spam threads

I see that, yet again, once the weekend arrives, we are assaulted with yet more spam threads. Just reported 2, but can anything be done to stop them infiltrating GN in the first place? It’s becoming very tedious.

How do you hide it merlotgran ? I haven’t worked that out yet.

The titles are getting more and more ridiculous. Quite a laugh if you stop to read them. Some leave an unpleasant aftertaste though.

To hide click on arrow top right then hide discussion

How do you hide it merlotgran ? I haven’t worked that out yet.

You need to be on the mobile site so if you are using a desktop, scroll to the bottom where you can click on ‘mobile.’

Then go to the arrow top right as in sillymoo’s screenshot and select ‘hide this thread.’

You then return to Active and do the same with all the others.

I've said before, the only way to stop spam is to hold back new posters until they've been quickly checked, then release their post. I can't see that would be difficult, surely there can't be that many genuine new posters each day. This happens on other sites, they don't just let anyone post a message before checking them.
