Well I am an addict and proud of it! Love it all even the boring bits and now love Ambridge Extra.......I believe I am not alone either????

Nonnie Fri 28-Mar-14 09:30:10

This is a good place for me to go next time I miss something! Thanks all.

NfkDumpling Fri 28-Mar-14 06:23:13

Haven't heard it all this week, so will have to catch up with the Sunday one. Just need to avoid this thread!

Culag Thu 27-Mar-14 20:35:08

Thank you Mishap. I only heard the last bit of tonight's episode and wondered what had happened to Rees. They were so in love at one time!

Mishap Thu 27-Mar-14 19:51:47

They split up some time ago as Rees was to move from the area, but, at Kirsty's hen party, she sees him with another girl and gets a bit p****d off!

Culag Thu 27-Mar-14 19:20:34

I seem to have missed something.

What has happened between Fallon and Rees? I gather he has moved away. Have they split up as well?

mollie65 Thu 27-Mar-14 07:47:13

aaargh - only listen to the omnibus on Sundays but realise as I am visiting this Sunday will miss what is happening - is the expensive wedding in trouble? grin
hope Jill returns to her independence while she is able - imagine a house with a small baby, teenager and trying to shoehorn a parent in - does not always work. it would also make the point that not all 'oldies' are incapable of living on their own.

nannyfran Wed 26-Mar-14 20:40:30

I know what you mean about Jill, phoenix, by the way, I loved your idea about Butlins for Jennifer!Or what about a nice camping holiday?
After tonight's episode, the Tom and Brenda idea doesn't sound so far out. What will Kirsty do with 2 wedding dresses?

Anne58 Wed 26-Mar-14 18:01:00

Ruth & David were already talking about Pip having to move into Rickyard (their holiday let) in order to make room for the new baby, so it doesn't seem as if there would be room for Jill as well unless they extend.

I'm afraid that Jill & Phil living there with Phil's parents was a bit before my listening time!

PS Does anyone else think that whenever Jill makes a comment she sounds as if she's just been goosed?

Iam64 Wed 26-Mar-14 17:53:23

Didn't Jill and Phill live at Brookfield with Phill's parents? I'm sure there is room for Jill at Brookfield, and she will move in there as it seems the best option for all of them.

Nonnie Wed 26-Mar-14 12:28:51

But there isn't room at Brookfield for Jill unless they extend.

Anne58 Wed 26-Mar-14 10:03:52

As far as I can remember, she only had a mastectomy on one breast.

Granniepam Wed 26-Mar-14 09:13:11

I wondered whether Ruth's previous cancer treatment would affect the genetic health future children.
And how will she feel about not being able to feed a baby herself? hmm

shysal Wed 26-Mar-14 08:34:57

I was worried that Ruth's breast cancer had returned. I agree that Jill will go to live at Brookfield. She will probably drive them all mad, but be a great help nevertheless, much like I would be!

mollie65 Wed 26-Mar-14 08:08:03

my first thought re the Ruth storyline that she was 'menopausal' but obviously got her age wrong shock - cue lots of angst and 'woe is me'

suzied Wed 26-Mar-14 05:46:11

And it is obvious that Davids mum will move into Brookfield.

Mishap Tue 25-Mar-14 22:18:44

I don't remember him saying there was no hurry for the divorce in that phone conversation - but I am going a bit deaf and was probably listening in the kitchen with the kettle on!

I await lengthy saga of Ruth's pregnancy which will no doubt have every problem in the book. Frankly I'm surprised that she and David have had the energy to reproduce! - we keep hearing how overworked and exhausted they are.

Rob contacted his wife in the episode when he proposed to Helen. Right at the end, after he told Helen that they were to keep their engagement a secret for now. X

Iam64 Tue 25-Mar-14 19:23:58

I've been lucky enough to have a week on a canary island, the downside is i missed the information about Rob's wife etc, and the reason ian hit Rob. Ian is on to Rob as an emotional abuser. I suspected Rob would be in touch with his wife, keeping both women hanging on as usual. His wife (sorry, can't recall her name) was so like Jennifer I thought, perfect for Rob (or Brian)

Nelliemoser Tue 25-Mar-14 19:18:20

I have not heard that Rob has been in contact with his wife for a while. I missed last Friday's episode though, what led Ian to thump Rob?

Mishap Tue 25-Mar-14 19:07:23

I must have missed the episodes when Rob is ringing his wife telling her no hurry for the divorce - when did that happen?

J52 Tue 25-Mar-14 18:22:05

Nonnie, Rob's wife does know the marriage is over, but he makes covert phone calls to her, saying that there is no hurry for the divorce! I think he wants to control both women. X

NfkDumpling Tue 25-Mar-14 16:56:41

Missed the Bradley Wiggins episode - now off to listen on iplayer. I never heard Archers Extra - we don't have a digital radio and it never occurred to me to use the telly!

Nonnie Tue 25-Mar-14 16:29:34

I don't manage to hear every episode but I think J52 has a very good point, does Rob's wife know he and Helen are living together. Does she even know the marriage is over?

I don't feel the least bit sorry for Brian! He has more money than he knows what to do with and he manipulates people all the time. I think its time the boot was on the other foot.

I'd love one of those boiling water taps and if I had as much money as them I would have one. I don't need it but then we are not as flush as the Aldridges. Jenny spends a lot of time in her kitchen cooking for Brian and his chums so it is her work environment so why should't she have what she wants when they are absolutely loaded? I suspect that the kitchen is in comparison to one of us 'ordinary people' spending £5k.

J52 Tue 25-Mar-14 15:51:55

Rob also seems to be still in contact with his wife, another opportunity for him to control? X

Anne58 Tue 25-Mar-14 14:54:23

very good point well made, Eloethan
