Roses are red, just like your nose Violets are blue, like your nose in the cold Sugar is sweet, and also is honey And, just like your nose, its quite often runny.
You stole hearts when you were born Those baby days we did mourn Then you had one of your own All consuming love, every fibre every bone Grandchild of ours.
I have 32 Grand-Children and 29 Great, The hardest thing about them is getting all them dinners on a plate, They fill my life so full of joy, All my little girls and little boys, But you try and remember 61 birthdays all on different dates!
This is a poem about my Mum who is about to become a great grandma this month for the first time
If Mum's were flowers I'd always pick mine She's the best of the bunch like a well matured wine Sweet, kind & selfless she can't do enough Even though her life is so terribly tough Disabled with arthritis her mobility's hampered So she truly deserves to be positively pampered She may be 80 but she's hot on fashion & style The best Mum in the world who always makes me smile She's always the one on whom I can depend Not only my Mum but my very best friend
In the full bloom of my life, my little acorns do fall They have ripened, then burst open They now have grown tall I can look back with pride at how they now shine That the love I put in will always be mine.
