It's a great place for a GN meetup with lovely company. I had a lovely lunch with a cold drink and bottomless coffee for around a tenner the one time I made the journey down from Colchester.
Right opposite the tube station!
Everyone is so friendly. Like all GN meetups I've been to, it's like you've known each other for years.

Many thanks to everyone who came to our Meetup despite the rain. It was such an enjoyable session and I hope everyone arrived home safely.

Hi everyone! We are meeting this coming Thursday at the George, Wanstead from 11am. It is just over the road from Wanstead Underground Station. There is a car park but it's a bit expensive but there are other parking areas in Wanstead.
New people especially welcome.

When we have left the George we could go over the road and have a wine tasting session at Majestic wine.

I will be there loopyloo. Things are hectic at home with the building work going on but it will be good to escape! See you on Thursday.

Must add that the car park is not that expensive - I think it is something like £3.50 for three hours - however, last time I came by car it then gave me a ticket which entitled me to money off food purchased, so it worked out at just over two pounds for the three hours. However, The George is so well served by public transport, (Underground and loads of buses), that is the easiest way.

Lovely meet-up today (and discount on all food and non-alcoholic drinks), so interesting. Already looking forward to next one in October.
