Anne58 Tue 27-Dec-11 17:46:33

Yes, but what colour oxon70 ?

The boots are black (yes, they are REAL over the knee boots) and the cat fluff was white!

Oxon70 Tue 27-Dec-11 17:15:18

I shall make a point of putting more cat furr on them..............

Anne58 Tue 27-Dec-11 16:55:15

Susiecb you can't disappear on us!

Actually, I may be unavailable for part of tomorrow (although I don't know which part) because as mentioned on Chat I am being favoured by a visit from ds & p plus grandchildren.

However the over the knee boots have been cleansed of cat furr (they are suede type stuff) and my thigh slapping is definitely coming on a treat.

Oxon70 Tue 27-Dec-11 16:47:38

I'm starving - going over there to find Cinders......

JessM Tue 27-Dec-11 16:05:56

My mind is boggling granny23 positively agog. Enjoy!

Granny23 Tue 27-Dec-11 15:45:19

Well, I am so glad that you all refused to be the back end of my pantomime horse because I have managed to recruit my virtual 'heartthrob' to fill the role. He will come over tonight so that we can practice synchronising our movements. See you tomorrow - I'll be the horse with the smile on my face.

susiecb Tue 27-Dec-11 15:41:13

I'm going to jump start the panto as I wont be around in the morning for unforseen reasons so apologise for any inconveneiance. I did think several gransnetters who are late birds might want to srart after midnight so I will open the thread now. Dont forget you can do whatever you want with it go back and forward in time, change characteres, double up on characters anything as long as you have great fun doing it.

Have a lovely panto.

Oxon70 Tue 27-Dec-11 13:24:34

Hello fairygrandgodmother - I like it.

I think - Cinders should be asked what she wants.

JessM Tue 27-Dec-11 12:41:44

Of all the panto roles that are free
A fairy grandgodmother I would be
I'd love to think my magic might
Help poor Cinders in her plight

That poor young woman needs a hand
I'll give it with my fairy wand
Makeovers are my special trick
And all it takes is just one flick

But hang on just a tiny mo
Is marriage to prince the only show?
What about uni? Or crossing the sea?
Maybe it's not the role for me...

Oxon70 Tue 27-Dec-11 12:24:55

Ooo-er!

Hey, Horse, I was thinking - you can of course be both ends at once...should make for coordination....and you won't mind being behind yourself.....
- Maybe we don't need this new technology?

(Anyone see the recent QI with the pantomime horse walking like a giraffe?!)

Carol Tue 27-Dec-11 12:16:41

Fabulous Joan smile

Joan Tue 27-Dec-11 11:41:18

In my black satin gymslip
And black satin thong
I'll just sneak in stage left
It won't take me long

My long fishnet stockings
And spiky heeled shoes
Will scare all the dancers
To flee to the loos

St Trinians girls
Are as bad as can be
So watch out young Cinders
Just watch out for me

I'll seduce your Prince Charming
He won't stand a chance
Forget your glass slipper
Watch out for his pants

I'll shake in his wine glass
My love potion drink
He'll swoon in my arms
When I give him a wink

Then I'll show him the things
That can happen at night
Oh watch out Prince Charming
You're in for a fright.

Wow - that chorusline rehearsal was impressive. I think, as Wicked Stepmother I do have to remain rather aloof and threatening, but I want you to know that I COULD have kicked as high as you all did and that my splits are memorable!!

I have my costume organised - none of your frilly stuff for me! I'll be rake-thin, in clinging metallic silver lame if that's ok. Have we cast my daughters yet?
Rubella, Salmonella and I think we also have Chlamydia (if you'll pardon the expression!)

Oxon70 Tue 27-Dec-11 09:12:54

Actually I did cop out of this. I cantcant cancan....

.............Meeeeow!
Cat ready with driving goggles if needed.

bagitha Tue 27-Dec-11 09:04:58

grin That was soooo fun.... as the Young Things say.

Mamie Tue 27-Dec-11 09:02:01

Rehearsal Call for the Chorus Line:
Rehearsal Call for the Chorus Line:

Right Chorus Line let's warm up - a -five, six, seven, eight. Swing those arms and kick those legs, burn those carbs, push harder, harder, harder..

Good - now let's try our routine - ta tata tata ta ta tata..
Oh well done, I can see you have all worked hard over christmas ... No, no, stop, stop STOP. Now I know some of you have practised in front of the mirror, but we must all try and stay on the same leg. Try again... Cartwheel - no to the right now altogether. NO! TO THE RIGHT!
Oh dear, nobody hurt?
Pick yourselves up and let's try again.
Ah that's much better, legs up past the ears please and leap and splits. Tada.
Well done all of you, please be dressed and ready for your cue in the ballroom scene tomorrow.

We have several of these
www.quickfancydress.com/costumes/adultcancansaloongirlcostume.htm

and two of these:
www.mikescivilwar.com/ugly%20sistersl.htm

but where's our
sherrirodell.blogspot.com/2011/03/wheres-my-fairy-godmother.html ?

What/who have I missed?
I thought we might change the pumpkin into one of these
t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSWfje6h0KhOjxFrJukBmZhT8UFoVwpfPbGD5NFiMR2RfIN5y5c
- that's if the horse can't get itself together.......

I would love to drive it - but help! I haven't finished my cat costume yet

granto7 Mon 26-Dec-11 22:44:17

I would like to be the dove...... as it is a sign of peace and that is what I am looking for .......I can alsol play a good footman

Oxon70 Mon 26-Dec-11 19:39:15

Susiecb, did you say you were going to keep the story on track a bit? I can't find it now!

I think it's Gransnet Pants/no....for some of us anyway!

Carol Mon 26-Dec-11 19:35:11

Oh, you do that too, Bagitha! It always says piano first for me.

bagitha Mon 26-Dec-11 19:16:50

Shall do!

Meanwhile, why do I keep reading the thread title as Gransnet Piano?

Mamie Mon 26-Dec-11 16:49:56

That is great bagitha and all the other dancers. Watch out for the chorus line rehearsal tomorrow.

bagitha Mon 26-Dec-11 16:12:33

I'll volunteer as a dancer. I used to be very good. Can still do virtual very well! I might do well as a general disrupter as well, should one be required and I can do tea any colour you like.

Oxon70 Mon 26-Dec-11 14:54:31

Is a narrator to be
One of our choices
Or a story line told
With various voices?

em Mon 26-Dec-11 11:39:13

Now Christmas Day is over
We have to set our minds
To solving Panto problems
Of various different kinds.

Oxon's found the cast list
Some casting we have done
Let's get our acts together now
And really have some fun.

Mamie's choreography
Will surely get us fit
So jump to it and practise
At least a little bit?

The band's coming together
Percussion toots and drums
The chorus line is forming
And some with naked 'inclinations'
