I don’t have anyone so it is all down to me the pink jobs and the blue jobs. I’m quite happy being independent.

when hubby 'tries' to load the dishwasher which I have claimed as my domain, I have to leave the room, I cannot watch it is too painful. I wait for him to go back to his hobbies then rearrange it safely otherwise by now we would have no remaining crockery intact!

I tend to do most of the inside jobs and my other half does the outside jobs but he has had to help more as I am not able to do so much any more

When my husband was alive we were involved in each other’s projects.

He is a very gregarious person so does like to be 'in' on everything.
I do wish he would make himself scarce when I have friends over for coffee etc. though ( Oh those were the days before Corona!!)
I should be glad he is so friendly I guess but there are times you just need to chat with girlfriends!

For the first 35 years of married life, my husband was definitely a 'Can't Cook, Won't Cook' individual. Since his early retirement, which coincided with a prolonged period of ill health for me, he needed to begin to try and put a meal together so that we didn't have to live on ready meals or takeaways. Even though I still do the bulk of the cooking, it's great to have a helper in the kitchen who can prepare vegetables, put a salad together and now has a number of signature dishes up his sleeve for days when I'm too busy or not feeling up to cooking a meal. Anyone for Asian Salmon with salad and coleslaw tonight? ? ?

So as I do not have a partner at present this is a very difficult question for me to answer. If I need something done I just have to get on with it!!

It is really annoying especially because like a typical man he goes on to research it to death and then do it bigger and better and commandeer it as his own. As you perhaps see it is quite a sensitive issue for me !

My other half has his own interests but if I think he would enjoy something I'm involved in I encourage him to join me.

I would be so pleased. After 50 years of marriage (this August) we still have lots of things that we like to do separately and even more together.

We don’t have the same indoor interests so we each do our own thing!

I'm happy for hubby to carry out the heavy tasks in the garden but when he tries to interfere with my plants, thats a different matter as he doesn't know one plant from another! So I only allow him to work in the garden under my direction but he's just created a new veg patch which I'm happy for him to make his own.

We work well together and I would appreciate the help.

He has different interests. He leave me to my own devices. He helps with washing up. Get the rubbish out and shopping

My husband and I divide jobs up since retirement. If he suddenly said he wanted to share bathroom cleaning that would be fine! We do have some separate hobbies.

He normally just lets me get on with it we have very little in common re interests god knows how we have lasted the past 29 years!

The more the merrier, usually.

If anything I've started doing his stuff since lockdown!

I would like that very much we have some hobbies we share such as reading and I do ballet and he does badminton but no problem with sharing.

I am happy to do things on my own. He can help with certain things like hoover, washing the windows which I don’t do.

My partner & I don't usually live together so when I stay over & he cooks it's a bit of a treat & I don't interfere - however since lockdown I have been staying with him & when I grab the opportunity to cook he always comes in to the kitchen to stir a pot, adjust a gas burner or generally interfere - consequently he gets sent away with a flea in his ear!!!

I have always been interested in photography and learning my skills. Hubby has started to do the same with his phone and they look really good due to his phone. To be honest I’m a bit jealous now but I’ll get over it the more I support instead

I don't have a problem with that at all. We share many things, such as cooking and ironing. I tend to do the cleaning and I don't mind at all if he wants to join in. Similarly, my husband tends to do most of the things in the garden and that's fine by me too.

As we will be celebrating (from behind closed doors) our 50th in a few weeks my response simply is what's hers is hers what's mine is in the shed!!
