A walk in the countryside ususally does it, walking at a good pace with my little dog. If all else fails a trip to our local garden centre which is always awash with colour at any time of year.

A new thriller and a large G&T after my H has gone to bed.

A good thrilller to read and a large G&T after my H who has dementia has gone to bed.

A leisurely walk in the park (rain or shine) and then taking a break on a bench to read a book. If it's cold or wet a welcome cuppa in the local cosy café.
Back home to a warm/cool shower and a lazy afternoon in the garden.

I grab my daughter and book a spa day ... we always stagger out of there semi-comatose from essential oils, hot tub and steam room and chit-chat!

Particularly enjoyable in the depth of winter, one day we came out into darkness and snow, and headed to a lively Cuban restaurant and had the biggest cocktail I had ever seen. Bliss.

A good book, a comfortable seat outside in the sun preferably, a cup of tea and a piece of cake - my idea of relaxation.

During the day I would take a cuppa out into the garden and sit outside. But of an evening it will be a lovely warm bubble bath

I love to sit and knit with my lovely cat Harry beside me. It’s so calming to stoke his soft fur.

I relax with a glass of red wine and a large bar of wholenut chocolate.

I just love to luxuriate in a warm, bubbly bath, for probably longer than I should, but so relaxing.

I put my feet up and knit cannula sleeves for people with dementia as they tend to pull their cannulas out. It is quite addictive as you have to use bright colours and be inventive with 'safe' twiddles. The nurses are extremely appreciative of our efforts. The sleeves are taken to local hospitals after they have been safety checked.

I take my dogs for a long walk , It seems to help me think clearly , allows me to resolve issues and make decisions , I always return with a clear head and feeling fit

A long walk followed by something not too taxing on tv
