Willy Wonka because he has such mad but great ideas for chocolate and I want to go to his factory and try them all.

I love Danny, reminds me we often had a delicious meal of roast pheasant....whenever Dad had "found" one.

Matilda is my favourite character because she loves books and spends her childhood in the library just like myself.

The clever and resourceful Mr Fox in ‘Fantastic Mr. Fox’. My children loved this story when it first came out in the 1970’s.

The BFG fun but a bit scary

Fantastic Mr Fox is my favourite. I love the fact that he is so clever and kind.

Matilda because she's smart, brave and a little bookworm!

It has to be Willy Wonka. The whole family adore chocolate so we would have loved to have won that golden ticket!

Definitely willie wonka because that’s the character the children relate to most.

The BFG as he shows that you don't have to be the same as everybody else to be 'normal'

Fantastic Mr Fox is a brilliant story. I like the way he gets the better of the three farmers.

Matilda

Matilda is my favourite character. Using the power inside of her to rise above the negative people around her.

It has to be the BFG who brings such humour to the story with his hilarious language. The serious side of the sad life of Sophie, befriended and taken on adventures with the BFG is very close to my heart having been a foster carer for 30 years and has enabled me to `educate firstly my children and now my grandchildren about the necessity of those of us who have so much to give both time and effort to those not so fortunate. It really is an awe-inspiring tale told around this central character of the BFG.

James either with or without his giant peach! This was my first Roald Dahl novel and always my favourite.

Matilda is my favourite because i love to read as well!
