Unfortunately DGD helped me open the package or I could have added it to her Christmas presents, but DGD is now engrossed in it that's her quiet for a while .

Thank you for my copy of Sisters - the opening pages sort of give the lie to the image of "ministering angels". It was a desperately hard life for many and hospital conditions in some cases sound appalling.But a new book in the week before Christmas - oh dear, the temptation!
