I was riding my exercise bike and looking at the sky when the silver lining around a dark cloud beckoned. I wanted to photograph it to show you. What happened next is a blur. I believe that the cuff of my jersey exercise pants became caught in the pedal. I fell and banged my head on the glass-topped table before finishing up under the easel that is now broken. MacSporran heard the crash. He was in the loft. To say that I feel fuzzy is an understatement. He wants me to log off and sit in the chair. My hip is badly bruised. Thank goodness that it remained in situ. Oh dear!
I shall be visiting the care home tomorrow morning. I promise to catch up with our lovely kitcheners just as soon as I return.
Crafting I would so love to hug you right this minute. Of course you are feeling wretched...any one of us would be depressed knowing that our grandchildren had problems with anxiety. I wish that us lot could help you through this difficult time. Please do NOT apologise for feeling sad. If talking about the situation helps, then we are here for you.
Are you ready for a and a buttery shortbread biscuit, kitty? Good! I shall put the kettle to boil. I may need to search high and low for the biscuit. I instruct MacSporran to hide them well away.
Just popping in to sit in the corner for a bit. Laid low with worry again. DGC having problems with anxiety again and it just makes me feel so sad and helpless. Sorry not very cheerful. Sitting here with stomach churning and thought I'd come into the kitchen for some warmth. Galen I really like your post about the police station
CharleygirlMacSporran is very protective of Rory. He maintains that Rory's time as a traveller/scavenger/protector is well and truly over. Of one thing I'm certain, for as long as Rory lives, he will be loved.
Well now...another storm is heading in this direction. Time to tether the trunk of the bird cherry tree to a slab of concrete. We would be sad to lose the tree as it is a fine specimen.
So funny, the relationship between cats and dogs. We have one of each and they're very jealous of eachother. But we have a sort of day foster dog, and when he arrives Cat smooches around him, but he repels her advances Then eats her croquettes.
Hello* Nellie and Alea. Is Grace beginning to make progress? I hope so.
Rory has suddenly taken a liking for sitting on the low table on which the television stands. Don't ask!
Kitten has arrived. I shall take her well-aired basket and fleece and deposit it back in the lodge. Then I shall place her food nearby. She'll eat and Rory will wait on the door mat...staring at her (all po-faced). Kitten will do a prance around him when she's finished eating. He'll pretend to be rather bored. Eventually she sneaks in beside him. They remain together for about an hour. MacSporran then suggests that Rory should come in...he mustn't catch a chill.
You know how as you get older policemen get younger? Well i must be ancient! When returning from archery this morning I passed our old police station. It's become a nursery school!
Tara likes nothing better than lounging on the arm of the chair opposite me and watching TV or staring out of the window as and when she fancies. The arm is wide and very comfortable for her. I have removed all of the grass in the garden, I feel that I cannot remove the house furniture she loves to "rest" on for a few hours.
In summer if I am having coffee outdoors, I sit on one chair and she rests her weary bones on the one beside me.
She has taken over a whole double bedroom. I was researching local catteries because I will need one for Tara when I have my knee replaced. One stated that the cat's bed should be brought. I would have problems bringing a bed with a memory foam mattress + duvet etc. in my car!
I do hope that Grace is not still worrying her rear legs and tail.
I think that is lamentable charleygirl.. Every family member ??needs to be taken into account when designing furniture. If I had a cat, I'm sure it would be quite comfortable on the (upholstered) backs or arms of our "granny and grandpa" 'fireside' chairs. Not the height of fashion, but very supportive in all the right places.
soop you had an earlier call than I did, mine was 5am which is a tad early for me to surface. Tara has food left out overnight because that is when she does her main eating. I did not get much peace until I eventually surfaced and then she did not want to go out!
I am in the process of buying two armchairs and I am having to consider her also because she loves "resting" on the top of my chair. Many of the newer models do not have a comfy place for a cat to sit on. I do realise that the makers do not have cats in mind when designing a supposedly comfortable chair.
It is a pleasant day here in bonnie Kintyre. Low cloud embracing the peaks. The sea is skittish, which is more than I can say for Rory. Rory asleep on a tartan rug on the bed. He jumped on me at about 2:am and I almost died of fright. He was famished...as if!
